Origins of Vedic and Western Astrology
Vedic astrology can be dated directly to the Vedas, the world's most ancient scriptures, as its name suggests. Vedic Astrology is thus spiritual and ancient and is thought to be the message of God passed down through the ages to wise people.
Western astrology, on the other hand, can be dated back to early Greek life and intellectual development. The Egyptian Civilization has also affected Western Astrology. Western Astrology is thus the result of the European mind's developed intellect and exploration.
A different calendar is used in Vedic Astrology than Western Astrology
Western astrology charts are based on the "tropical calendar" (which is used by the majority of the world) and the four seasons, while Vedic astrology charts are based on the sidereal system, which considers the moving, observable planets. (Western Astrology, on the other hand, does not work with the fixed positions of the planets.)

Vedic Astrology is mainly connected with karma and dharma
Another important difference is that modern Western Astrology has become more psychologically driven, whereas Vedic astrology is based on one's particular karma.
Vedic astrology also tends to reveal our natural strengths and difficulties, as well as our dharma, or life path. It can help in the understanding of our relationships with family, friends, and life partners. It gives a basic knowledge of stress and our emotional ups and downs which is quite beneficial.
Retrogrades, sun signs, and rising signs are all handled differently in Vedic Astrology.
There are nine planets in Vedic Astrology: the Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, and Rahu-Ketu, the Moon's two nodes. In addition to the 12 signs, Vedic Astrology uses 27 lunar constellations known as Nakshatras, each of which covers 13 degrees and 20 minutes.
Western astrology uses planets like Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto to look into the future, while Vedic astrology does not. Moreover, Nakshatras and constellations are not taken into account in Western Astrology.
System of the Sun and Moon
The movement and placement of the Sun play a more important role in Western Astrology. As a result, the emphasis is more on psychology, personality, and character.
The Vedic astrology, on the other hand, is a Moon-based astrology system that includes all aspects of life.

Theory of Time
When analyzing astrological movements for future events, Vedic Astrology uses the Vimshotarri Dasha system (a method for timing the planetary system).
On the other hand, The Dasha System is not used in Western Astrology. It studies planetary movements based on their advancements and motions.
Conclusion
Vedic astrology is seen to be more logical and accurate because of changes in planetary movements, the Universe expands, and unstable situations.
Both systems have similar meanings and symbolic meanings for signs and planets, but Vedic astrology uses more accurate calculations and detailed techniques, making it more trustworthy. Only a basic explanation can be provided by the tropical or western chart in Western Astrology, on the other hand, is worth investigating.
Regardless of whether it's Vedic or Western astrology, the goal is the same: to solve problems and increase happiness.
