What is the scientific reason behind famous Hindu traditions?

Hinduism has been around for a very long period. There have been many rituals and rules that we have followed over the years without even knowing the science behind them.
That’s right! There is indeed a scientific logic to back all the traditions that we follow in hinduism. So, let’s get right to them!

Know more about famous Hindu traditions. Get an online astrology consultation with a professional astrologer to find out the answers to all of your questions.

1. Henna

Henna-Mehndi is a very potent medicinal herb, and applying it to one's hands and feet before attending a wedding will help one remain calm and collected throughout the ceremony. It restores the body's natural temperature and prevents the nervous system from becoming overly tense.

2. Namaste

The Hindu practice of "Namaskar" has a scientific basis. The points of all the fingers should be touched together while joining both hands, as these locations correspond to stress points in the eyes, hearing, and mind. These are supposed to be activated when we press them jointly, aiding our long-term memory of that person.

3. Toe ring

On their second toe, Indian ladies typically wear toe rings. This links to the uterus and sends a specific nerve to the heart. Thus, by controlling the blood supply to it, a toe ring on this toe supports the uterus and keeps it healthy. The menstrual cycle of a woman is also considered to be regularized.

4. Tilak

A significant nerve spot in the body system is thought to be located between both the eyebrows on the forehead. A tilak is said to stop energy from evaporating and keep it there to regulate different levels of focus. Additionally, by pressing the spots on the mid-brow area and Anya-chakra, applying this guarantees that blood flow to the facial expression is facilitated.

5. Ringing the temple bells

People ring the temple bell as they enter because it is believed that the ringing helps us stay alert and focused so that we may give our all to our devotion. The sound these bells emit also unites the left and right sides of our brains, which is another benefit of their design. The bell echo's duration is perfect for triggering all seven of our body's healing centers and purging us of negativity.

6. Tossing money into rivers

Copper, an essential element for the human body, was formerly used to make the majority of the money. Since streams were the only supply of drinking water, throwing coins into them was a means to ensure that you were getting enough copper in your diet.

7. Avoid sleeping with your face toward the north.

The Earth is a powerful magnet, yet the human body possesses its magnetic field. Your body's magnetic field becomes unbalanced to that of the Earth when you rest with the head pointing north, which can lead to issues with blood pressure because your heart must work harder to compensate.

8. Ear piercing

Ear piercing, according to Indian doctors and philosophers, aids in the growth of intelligence, thinking ability, and decision-making skills. Get pierced right away.

9. Surya Namaskar

Through the Surya Namaskar, Hindus have a custom of honoring the Sun God first thing in the morning. We are more likely to lead a morning lifestyle if we wake up early to complete this activity.

10. Men's head plaits

Adhipati Marma is how Sushruta referred to the master sensitive point on the head. This was regarded as a hub of knowledge. This center is strengthened and its delicate energy is preserved by the knotted plait.

11. Observing a fast

According to Ayurveda, the buildup of harmful substances in the digestive system is the primary cause of several ailments. Toxic substances should be regularly removed to maintain health. Fasting allows the digestive system to rest while also cleaning and adjusting all bodily functions.

12. Charan Sparsh

Elderly people's hearts generate happy vibes and energy that are sent by their hands and toes when you touch their feet. In essence, the finished circuit activates a rapid connection between two brains and hearts, enabling energy to flow and increasing cosmic energy. Your hands and fingers act as a "sensor" for energy, and the other person's feet act as a "provider" of energy.

13. Sindoor

Mercury, lime, and turmeric are combined to make sindoor. Mercury regulates blood pressure and stimulates sexual desire as a result of its inherent qualities. Therefore, sindoor should be placed directly in the pituitary gland, which is the core of all of our emotions.

14. Praying to the idols

Most idol worship is promoted by Hinduism more than by any other religion. This was started to help people focus more during prayers. Psychiatrists claim that a guy will think following what he observes.

15. Putting on bangles

Bangles constantly rub against the wrist, which improves blood circulation. Furthermore, because of the ring-shaped bangles, the energy that escapes through the outer skin is once more returned to the wearer's body.
